BARBORA BRIDGES -PEJŠOVÁ is a professional photographer, originally from Bohemia Vsetin but now living in the UK. My love of photography was first sparked at a photography class in school at the age of just ten years old. From that time on I continued as an amateur photographer, principally capturing portrait images of both people and animals. At the same time that my modelling career took off I also begun taking photographs professionally, initially for many modelling agencies. Soon after I was appointed in a full time post as photographer for the biggest selling newspaper in the Czech Republic BLESK. At first I specialised in sporting photography but took a side step into celebrity 'paparazzi' photography, however the 'paparazzi' style did not sit well with my ethos nor did it cater to the artistic genre in which I am happiest so I moved on to photographing celebrity cover shots for international magazines. I was lucky enough to win second place in an international photography contest in 2007 from an entry of 84, the theme was 'Nude'. The judging panel was comprised of Gunars Binde of Latvia, Joseph Klimsa of The Czech Republic, Manfred Kriegelstein of Germany, Romualdas Pozerskis of Lithuania and Carmel Skutelsky of Israel. My photography was showcased in my first exhibition in 2010 I have been living in the UK for several years now and work as a freelance photographer, retaining my love of portraits, be they human or dogs! The philosophy behind my photography is to capture life and emotions of my subjects, and these are most often the reasons for which people tell me they love my photographs.
SIMON BRIDGES
SIMON BRIDGES and Barbora met in 2012 through their mutual love of Wolfhounds. Never having owned a camera prior to April 2014 I found myself ''pointing and shooting'' on Barbora's behalf while Barbora was otherwise occupied handling one of our dogs in the show ring. I became hooked straight away and Barbora immediately noticed I have talent, artistry and a good eye for detail. Under Barbora's tutelage I have become renown as a photographer within the Wolfhound showing world and have expanded to include other breeds and social events, I have been very highly complimented for my enthusiasm and ability to capture the soul of the dogs that I photograph. My forte lies in photographing dogs outside the show ring to capture more natural expressions. Although I have thought of myself as an enthusiastic amateur I have received high praise and people have sought my skills professionally. My new love of photography and long term love of dogs have culminated in starting up a photography group on facebook which already has almost a thousand members (as at December 2014). I also have a keen interest in nature, wildlife and architectural photography. Thank you for allowing me the time to introduce myself to you.
